AED’s to Eustis

EUSTIS – At a recent meeting of the Eustis Selectmen, Stratton-Eustis Lions Club President, Sally Iverson, presented two Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Units to Select Chairman, Stephen St. Jean and Selectman, Jeffrey Lecander, for the town of Eustis and Stratton Village for the use of the public in emergency situations.
The Lions purchased the units with a $1,000 Sugarloaf Charitable Trust grant and an additional $473 from their activity fund.
The AED units will be stored and available to the public at the Pines Market and Flagstaff General Store because of their extended hours of operation and seven days a week availability.  The stores will have prominent signs notifying the public that the units are available there and will have easy to follow operating instructions included with each unit.  When needed, the units can be checked out for emergency situations or while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.
“We are excited and happy to present these units to the town” said Lion President, Iverson.  “We enjoy following our motto ‘We Serve’ when it comes to this community”  she continued. (The Original Irregular)

Sally Iverson also explained that she would like to thank the members of the community since they played a role in the donations for the AED through collecting bottles and cans! Thanks everyone for making this happen!
